The Michael Matters Foundation, through its partnership with Lurie Children’s Hospital, has awarded its first $2,000 child patient grant! Ava, 9-years-old, was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) one day after the Cubs won the World Series. DIPG is a very aggressive form of brain cancer in children, with less than 1% chance of survival. Ava’s family will use these funds to help with out of pocket expenses to assist with their compassionate care plan and help Ava’s quality of life. We wish Ava and her family the best as they go through this very difficult time.
Please pray for Ava and her family, and know that your support is making a direct difference in her life! #MMF #BTSM
