The Michael Matters Foundation’s 2016 New Year, Same Wish event was another smashing success!  More than 400 supporters gathered together at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire on a cold Friday night in February to raise money for our friends in the brain cancer community, and celebrate the wonderful work being done by the Michael Matters Foundation.  The Not For Profit band provided the music that set the party mood and of course, had the entire venue rocking!  What a night!

This year’s event raised approximately $75,000.00 to support our efforts to assist brain cancer patients and their families through our Michael Matters grant programs.  We are so proud of this wonderful accomplishment and thankful to our supporters, partners and volunteers who made this all possible.  We can’t thank you all enough.

As Marisa Schostok mentioned on stage, our mission is to get this moneyquickly into the hands of those most in need by boosting our relationships with NorthShore University HealthSytems Kellogg Cancer Center and Northwestern Medicine Chicago Proton Center, and expanding our reach to other brain cancer treatment facilities.

Please be on the look-out for our upcoming grant announcements, which will highlight the wonderful people your contributions help support.  Again, thank you for making the 3rd Annual New Year, Same Wish event so memorable and impactful.
