Summer Fundraising Events

Annual New Year, Same Wish

Since 2014, The Michael Matters Foundation has hosted the annual “New Year, Same Wish” fundraiser. Our centerpiece fundraiser each year, this highly anticipated event brings together grant recipients, supporters and volunteers to raise money, awareness and celebrate accomplishments in support of our mission. The event is generously supported by our many individual and organizational donors.

4th Annual New Year, Same Wish Fundraiser - Viper Alley

In 2017, the 3rd Annual New Year, Same Wish raised $103,000 for brain cancer patients in need. More than 400 supporters came together at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire, IL on February 3, 2017 to raise money for brain cancer patients desperately in need of our help. This year’s fundraiser boasted exciting silent auction prizes to Tuscany, Italy, Key Biscayne, Florida, Las Vegas and so much more. The money raised will assist with our grant programs at NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center, Northwestern Proton Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and UIC Hospital & Health Sysetm. We are proud to be partnered with these fantastic treatment centers and look forward to helping patients in need.
