Marisa C. Buckley


I am an associate at the law firm of Dudley & Lake. I have a B.S. in Communications from the University of Dayton and a J.D. from John Marshall Law School. Prior to joining Dudley & Lake, I was a criminal prosecutor in the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office for two years. I am passionate about helping others and being a part of both the legal and local community. 

Matthew L. Williams, ESQ

Vice President

I am a partner in the law firm of Salvi Schostok & Pritchard.  I have a BS in History from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from DePaul University. For the past 14 years, I have worked as a trial attorney representing a wide variety of clients involved in personal injury litigation.  I have also been involved in fundraising efforts for Unlocking Brain, a charity organized to raise awareness and funding in the fight against brain cancer. 

Richard Kolb


I am Managing Partner at Inspirion Wealth Advisors, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. I have a BS in Business from Indiana University, Bloomington and a J.D from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. I am a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner. I am member of the Financial Planning Association and sit on the board of another not-for-profit board. 

Jackie Bange

Jackie Bange is an award-winning journalist, reporter and weekend anchor for WGN News at Nine. Jackie joined the WGN-TV News team in August 1993 as a reporter and anchored WGN Morning News from January 1995 to October 1995. Jackie received her post-baccalaureate degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida where she graduated with distinction. Jackie’s undergraduate degree was from Florida State University in Management Information Systems. Jackie is actively involved in several charitable organizations including helping on the annual MDA telethon and emceeing such fundraising events to fight breast cancer and cystic fibrosis. 

Justice Mary S. Schostok

I am an Appellate Court Judge for the 2nd District Appellate Court, a court of review.  I am a graduate of Youngstown State University with a B.S. and a J.D. from the Capital University School of Law.  I am the Past President of the Illinois Judges Association, an alternate member of the Illinois Courts Commission, as well as the Chair of the Illinois Judges Employee Retirement System. I am also a sitting board member of the Illinois State Board of Investment and a sitting board member at Carmel Catholic High School.  

Thomas H. Saye Jr. (TJ)

I am the Chief Operating Officer of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard. I am responsible for running the business operation of one of Chicago’s top Plaintiff law firms. I have a BS in English from the University of Wisconsin-Steven’s Point and a MS in Marketing and Integrated Communications from Roosevelt University Chicago. I am a past board member of the Chicago United Cerebral Palsy Association, and founder of the Michael Matters Foundation. 

William E. Krauss, MD

I am an Attending Neurological Surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I also am a Professor in Neurological Surgery at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. I am involved in academic neurosurgery at the national and international level. I have a busy clinical practice in neurosurgery. I perform clinical research in my field and am the director of the neurosurgical residency training program at Mayo Clinic Rochester.

Louis C. Cairo, ESQ

I am the managing partner of Goldberg Weisman Cairo, Chicago’s largest injury and workers’ compensation law firm.  I have a BS in Marketing from Marquette University in Milwaukee and a J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago.  I am on the Board of Directors of the Society of Trial Lawyers and the Italian American Labor Council.  I am also the President and a Board member of the Hidden Lakes Homeowners’ Association in South Barrington.  In addition, I am a member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.  I am very active in fundraising for Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Gigi’s Playhouse for Children with Downs Syndrome. 

Michael E. Tancredi

I am a B2B marketing communications and proposal management professional, with experience in consultative business development. I have a BA in Political Science from Michigan State University, and a JD from DePaul University College of Law. I have previously helped launch a not for profit, Unlocking Brain, focused on fundraising for brain tumor research. 

Ryan Thomas Merrell, MD

I am an Attending Neurological Surgeon at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. I also am a clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Pritzger School of Medicine. In addition to my busy clinical practice in neurosurgery, I perform clinical trials and am a frequent speaker and writer in my field. I am a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. 

Vivian Afrik

I was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa and moved to Dakar, Senegal when she was five-years-old. I came to the U.S to attend Valparaiso University and transferred to Purdue. In 2000, I received my degree in International Studies, French and History. After college I worked in sales in Chicago until I decided to pursue teaching as a profession.  I received a Master’s in Education and a teaching certification from DePaul University in 2006. After completing my student teaching, I was blessed with the birth of my first daughter, Norah.  Since then, I have devoted my time to raising my three beautiful children, Norah, Nina, and Idris, with my husband, Matt Williams, also a board member of The Michael Matters Foundation. I am active in the Evanston community and am fluent in English, French, and three African dialects.
